Understanding the mechanisms by which polyphenols act on gut microbiome will provide new insights that for developing a valuable dietary supplement in neurodegenerative diseases. The analisys of connections between neurodegenerative diseases and gut microbiota will allow to develop novel therapeutic strategies.
